Funny Limousine Stories

Limousines can be hired for any event or occasion but it is sometimes surprising just what they are used for. In addition limousine companies are very professional but sometimes events beyond their control can lead to things going very wrong. Here are a few incidents and occasions where it either goes wrong or limousines are used in surprising occasions.

Most of the time limousines that are hired for football matches run smoothly with no problems however there have been a couple of incidents where it has gone very wrong. On one occasion the Hummer H2 limousine hired for the FA Cup final broke down with a blown tyre on the return journey leaving 16 very frustrated fans luckily on the winning team stuck in the Hummer limo on the motorway for three hours. Although the company tried in vain to replace the tyre a coach carrying fans from the same team was passing by and offered the fans a free ride home which they duly took. On another occasion involving a championship playoff final match whereby the team hiring the Hummer H2 limo lost the angry and inebriated fans took out their frustrations on the inside of the Hummer limousine. Glasses were smashed door locks were broken and the electrics were destroyed. The chauffeur was disgusted and made them pay for the damages.

If limousines are late for the initial pickup it can have a knock on effect for the both the customer and the limousine company. The customer can miss their appointment which could be anything from a flight to a restaurant booking. This can lead to frustration and anger particularly if a flight or the start of a school prom is missed as a result. One of the worst cases of the limousine being late is for a wedding however this is extremely rare. For the limousine company it could mean that the next limousine booking is affected and will also be late. Fortunately this is a very rare occurrence and is most often caused by heavy traffic. In most cases it is resolved by either offering to make up the time or giving a discount. In one incident where a restaurant was booked and the limousine was delayed in traffic the limousine operator resolved the situation by offering extra time in the limo and contacted the restaurant to rearrange the time.

Surprising cases of limousine use involve fire engine limousines for weddings party bus limos for Royal Ascot and pink limousines for a stag do. In truth it does not matter what you use a limousine for as long as a good time is had by all.

Although things can and sometimes do go wrong limousine companies are extremely professional and because of this these things rarely happen. The limousines are kept in pristine condition and routinely serviced so breakdowns are very unlikely. Chauffeurs will always leave for their pickup destinations with a lot of time to spare meaning that lateness is a rare occurrence and will almost certainly be caused by unusual traffic build up or an accident.

Full Moon Party Schedule For 2009

The Full moon party on Koh Pangan Thailand is now a right of passage for any backpacker who comes to South East Asia.

Started many years ago with just a small group of people who decided that on every full moon they would meet and have a party on the beach of Haad Rin. Now as many as over 10000 people turn up each and every month to party till sunrise.

From early evening people start making their way down to the beach to relax on the sand having a beer or an early bucket watching all the fire shows.
At about midnight the party starts to get wild. The beach will be at its busiest and each bar will be playing its music loud enough to drown the noise of their neighbours. Music ranges from pop classic hard house and Drum n Bass.

If you are deciding to go to Thailand this year then you will need to know some facts.

Turn up a few days early to find accommodation in Haad Rin
If you do not think you can handle the noise of all night parties every night then stay out of town. There are many taxis and boats to get you about whatever the time.
If you want to leave the island the day after the party book your boat in advance as they fill up quickly.

Fantastic Five Of Paris

Paris often referred to as “City of lights” is one place to break free. There are many places which will make you happy and your trip a journey of a lifetime. If somebody wants to choose one place in Europe to visit then Paris would definitely be one of the best places to visit. From the Eiffel Tower to Arc de Triomphe everything is marvelous. If a list has to be made which is very tough about 5 must see places in Paris which one must visit then the list must include the following:

Eiffel tower
Standing 300m tall this is one of the modern architectural masterpieces. Designed and built by Gustave Eiffel to commemorate the centenary of French revolution in 1889 it has two restaurants in the lower level while there is a bar replica of Gustave Eiffel and a souvenir shop on the top platform. If you will go into figures then it weighs 7000 tons but there is more into it than these figures. Eiffel towers look awesome in the night with all the lights on.

The Louvre
Being the largest art museum in the world Louvre is another must see in Paris. The Louvre’s collection is overwhelming in size which includes many paintings coins antiques and sculptures. The famous painting of Mona Lisa by Picasso is also kept here. It has a long list of items which is from ages and also of different origin and civilization. The museum pass cards work here and the tickets are half priced after 3 PM and on Sunday’s.

Notre Dame Cathedral
Notre Dame Cathedral Paris is arguably the most stunning gothic athedral in the world. Its construction was started in 1163 and it took almost 200 years to complete. It has witnessed many events related to big wigs like Napoleon Pope John Paul II and others. This place had witnessed some of the greatest moment in the history of the city. Come to this place and see how the beauty and the ambience impress you.

Arc de Triomphe
It was commissioned by Napoleon after he won the battle against Austerlitz in 1806 but it was finally built in 1836. Major victories are written on the top of the arc and the small ones are written on the inside walls. You can go to the top through staircase or by taking an elevator the view of Paris from here is beautiful. This is one of the places in Paris which is always on the top of the list to visit.

Sacre Coeur
Last but not the least in my list is Sacre Coeur / Montmartre. This church is not painted as it appears to be but the whiteness is through the liquid secreted by the white stone. This place will have a grand effect on you because of its size and location. This is a beautiful place to go and remember the good days once you are back to your home.

Go and see how the beauty of these places mesmerizes you. Paris is and will always be a tourist hub and center of attraction for its monuments and museums.
